SELENA PROMOTED TOO.

Okay so I was on Twitter and Selenators kept popping up everywhere and going around saying that Miley Cyrus’ new song, We Can’t Stop, hit #1 on iTunes because Miley kept tweeting the link. Lets go over a few things:

Firstly, Miley can get a #1 on iTunes without tweeting about it and I back that up with logical information about how Can’t Be Tamed went #1 on iTunes in 2010 when Miley did not have a Twitter.

Secondly, Selenators have no place to talk about self-promotion since:

Should I go on?

Is that not all self-promotion? How is that different than Miley saying “Go get my single on iTunes now!” or “Keep We Can’t Stop #1”. BOTH ARE SELF-PROMOTING.

It doesn’t make Miley thirsty because she hasn’t been promoting the song like a week before its release like someone. She hasn’t released teasers. She hasn’t released a dance video for it. She didn’t do some dance contest.

Self-promoting is not a bad thing. And at least when Miley self-promotes, she actually connects with her fans more than once a year.

I leave you with this.

Yet her fans stay preaching about how she doesn’t promote. OKAY.

And when Miley is promoting to her fans, she doesn’t tweet her fans as if they’re some money makers as far as we know, does selena even tweet herself?

P.S. If promotion is what got We Can’t Stop #1, then Come & Get It should have hit #1 as well after the endless promotion it received and the several live performances.

Stay seething, Selenators.

Stop dragging others for rightfully promoting their music when your fave does more than just promote. Again, nothing wrong with promoting, just stop being hypocritical damn.
