REVIEW: Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift + more on Taylor’s “reputation” and ways.
It’s time! Taylor Swift is finally starting her new era for her sixth album called “Reputation.” Taylor released her new song yesterday and the song was loved/hated by many. Here are my thoughts and more on Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian etc.
First of all, when I heard the title for the song I couldn’t help but laugh. Of course this song is about Kim and Kayne (and possibly Katy since bitter Taylor can never forgive) for exposing her last summer.
Now if you are new and haven’t heard about what happened even though everyone knows, I’ll fill you in real quick.
Basically Kanye had a song out called “Famous” where he threw the iconic line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, why// I made that bitch famous” and when Taylor didn’t receive the reaction she thought she would get, she acted like she didn’t know Kanye would say that even though there was a recorded phone call of Taylor approving the lyrics. Kim exposed the phone call on Snapchat.

Everyone dragged Taylor calling her a snake and now here she is a year later blaming everyone else but herself. The title itself screams “I’m innocent, you did this to me!” aka typical Taylor.
And since Taylor is such an iconic business women, she is using the “Snake” as a theme in her new era.
Let’s start with the song.
The song starts off very mysterious and then continues with a beat that was actually used in Mean Girls during the Halloween party.
Some people think Taylor is shading Katy by using the beat from Mean Girls because Katy tweeted this about Taylor.
“I don’t like your little games, Don’t like your tilted stage, The role you made me play, Of the fool, no, I don’t like you”
I mean I know the song and lyrics are immature but it does have a catchy beat.
“I don’t like your perfect crime, How you laugh when you lie”
One of the problems that I have with this song is that the lyrics are all fake.
No one lied but Taylor and now she’s mad that she’s been exposed and wants to play the victim role. The same role she’s been playing since 2008.
“But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!“
Not going to lie….this parts my favorite!
Then comes the chorus where Taylor repeats “Look What You Made Me Do” an uncomfortable amount of times.
I feel like this chorus would be less annoying if it was only repeated twice instead of 5-6 times.
Because not only does she repeat the same sentence 8 times, in 30 seconds the beat itself is a lot to handle and let’s not forget the sickening feeling of how similar this part is to the song “I’m too sexy for my shirt.”

“I don’t like your kingdom keys, They once belonged to me”
Is this basically her saying people’s sympathy for Kanye and Kim onced belonged to her? Considering she was America’s sweetheart before all this exposure was planted.
Again the lyrics don’t make sense. Everything that happened between Kim, Kanye and Taylor was exposed worldwide. If there was more to the story Taylor would’ve definitely told us considering this was all she had to say when she was exposed.
Taylor rambling on about some shit that made her look even worse.
“I would very like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.″
Damn even in the middle of her exposure she played the victim card. Let me remind you all Kayne has tried to make it up to Taylor after that incident. Taylor even made us believe they were friends for months before this all happened.
And Taylor made us even think she forgave Kanye for what he said to her in 2009.

and to make sure we knew they were cool she did this…
“Awwwwwwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs”
Anyway let’s get back to the song.
The second verse had me GAGGING. First of all, the lyrics are…. what. Second, she’s yelling at me, I feel attacked. Third, the beat completely changes into something even worse.
“The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama
But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma
And then the world moves on, but one thing’s for sure
Maybe I got mine, but you’ll all get yours”
UGHH this whole part ruins the song
“But not for me all I think about is karma” WE BEEN KNEW.
Taylor is such a vile person that when Kim exposed her for lying she wants karma. It’s not like Kim did anything wrong.
Taylor was having a field day dragging Kayne from interviews to the Grammys stage and what was Kim supposed to do? Bow down to Taylor and let her husband sit there getting humiliated?
Taylor wanted to control the narrative: fragile and harmless white women being attacked by furious and aggressive black man.
Now Kim is getting dragged
“Maybe I got mine, but you’ll all get yours“ She’s literally crazy. She’s basically saying “Kim exposed me for being a fake lying snake so now it’s her turn to be exposed too for giving me the karma I DESERVE.”
Instead of Taylor saying “geez I was wrong let me step down,” she’s like “I’m wrong but I still want revenge”
I hope this isn’t all for show and Taylor does something nasty but juicy!
Also another thing I dislike about the chorus is when it comes. Before the chorus, my favorite part plays about how Taylor will rise like she always does.
Manipulating queen and that part has a different beat than the chorus. So when the chorus comes, you are listening to the song and a lot changes/goes on at the same time.
The bridge also is my favorite part. There’s something about this song that gives off a nice sickening vibe. With the background of the song and Taylor’s voice; it’s all very chilling.
“I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I’ll be the actress starring in your bad dreams“
Tell em queen! This is another amazing liner given to us by Swift. I mean yeah she’s annoying and crazy but I can’t help it, this song is catchy. It’s fresh. It’s a new sound.
I’m also a big fan of how many times this part is sung. She sings it faster every time. It’s very creepy. I like it.
And then this happens:
Shook. I mean this whole “the old Taylor is dead” theme is annoying considering she’s wrong and the old/new Taylor is still the same snake but it makes me wonder what the future holds for Taylor and her dramatic ass.
I mean can you image this live? Kim’s face in the audience? Everyone dragging Taylor once again? It’s going to be amazing. The ExposingSMG team just lives for the drama.
And what’s funny is that Taylor keeps saying the old Taylor is dead and this one is out for blood…but the “old Taylor” wasn’t innocent.
The “old” Taylor caused this mess. She’s acting as if she was a damsel in distress and Kanye randomly came and attacked her.
And based on the shit we know about Taylor, the “old” Taylor was for sure nothing different than this “new” Taylor. She’s just finally showing the public how crazy she actually is.
After that part, the chorus annoyingly, yet still very catchy, repeats for like 40 seconds. And then the songs over.
My final thoughts:
Overall out of 100 I’d give this song a 80. The beat is catchy, the lyrics are creepy, and even though the beat was sampled from that Mean Girls song, the song still manages to have a new sound to it. With that being said, I like the song. Do I like the fact that Taylor is once again victimizing herself, acting like a bitter teenage girl even though she’s almost 30, and once again getting away with this fake act? No.
Realistically, this song’s lyrics make no sense. Taylor is singing a song and it sounds like someone invited her and her family into their home and murdered them. “You said the gun was mine/ You ask me for a place to sleep
Locked me out and threw a feast (what?) “What?” is correct/I don’t like your perfect crime” blah blah blah.
I mean it’s so obvious this song and possibly era is aimed at Kim and Kanye.
I mean…duh
But the lyrics describe someone who innocently got caught up in a mess and everyone was painted as “innocent” EXCEPT her. That’s not at all what happened. Taylor caused this whole mess by going against what she told Kanye on the phone and framing him as some “women hater.”
It’s obvious Taylor is a sad, bitter, and hateful person. The whole exposure was picture perfect. There was no way Taylor could scheme her way into looking innocent…so why is she still trying now? In a song that was made filled with bitter and hate. Over something that happened a year ago.
So realistically the song doesn’t fit into real life but ideally I like it more than I dislike it.
Will I continue listening to this song and ignoring all the remarks i just made? Yup!
Last thing I have to discuss are the double standards between Taylor and Katy. Don’t worry this won’t be long; it just shows you how biased Taylor’s fans/etc are.
When Katy came out with her new song “Swish Swish,” she was basically telling Taylor “Okay crazy, you do YOU, I do ME, move out of my way since you’re clearly a psycho.” She got dragged for bringing up an “old” fight even though when Taylor made Bad Blood, Katy couldn’t respond back because she was on tour then on break.
Isn’t it cute how celebrities have to postpone their feuds depending on their era?
In May, Katy said the following:
“I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.” Sounds like Taylor. Taylor wouldn’t end the feud with her in a SANE and MATURE manner. Why? She had to publicize her life like she always does. Who is Taylor without a victim certificate and a highly publicized life? DEAD.
So obviously Katy is going to bring up Taylor in her new era so she can have a chance to address what happened. Everyone dragged Katy once again and told her to stop using Taylor for headlines. Even when Katy said she’d love to end the feud with Taylor, she still got dragged.
Now here we are in August and Taylor has a “snake” themed image for her new era involving the whole Kanye and Kim fight last year and everyone including Taylor’s redneck fans, kept going “Hide ya faves” “Taylor is coming” “Kim better hide because Taylor is ending careers”
So Katy brings up an old fight TO CLEAR UP HER SIDE IN A MATURE WAY and gets dragged, but Taylor literally making money off the fight while victimizing herself and once again putting the blame on others, and she gets praised. And this wasn’t only stan twitter, this was the general public.
So Taylor releases a sneak peek for her song LWYMMD and… poor Taylor is all I have to say.
again with the snakes…*sigh*
Anyway so her video looks a bit similar to Beyonce’s.
And the replies are hilarious.
LMAOOOOO I CAN’T. Poor Taylor always finds a way to become a meme. I do understand Beyonce didn’t invent standing in a line, but it is similar and it’s all just a joke.
In conclusion
- Taylor’s new song is a bop.
- Calling Taylor a snake is now cancelled because she’s now in on it so let’s come up with a new name. We can’t promote the white devil for free.
- Taylor continues to act like a teenage girl who once again twisted the narrative to benefit herself when she’s in the WRONG. A simple sorry could suffice.
- Katy got dragged for doing ¼th of the shit Taylor did.
- Kim and Kanye don’t deserve to be dragged because they were defending their own REPUTATION; one that Taylor was tarnishing for no reason.
- Always remember, Taylor and Kanye AGREED on the lyrics. The white devil just twisted the narrative.
